A Note About Our Approach

Each grinder that we produce is made-to-order and hand assembled in Chicago requiring custom manufacturing and precision engineering. As a result, our lead times are longer—ensuring quality and craftsmanship.
This approach has earned us the Best New Product for 2024 by the Specialty Coffee Association and the demand has required us to kindly ask you to join the waitlist in order to gain access and secure a place in line for this preorder event.

 

Preorder Process – Important Details:

  • In the days leading up to the Preorder event, waitlist participants will receive a reminder email with all of the details you will need to complete your Preorder.

 

  • On the day of the Preorder event, you will receive an email with a preorder invite link, where you will be able to configure your order and complete your purchase.

 

  • You will receive your email with a purchasing link in the order that you joined the waitlist. We encourage you to join the waitlist as soon as possible, even if you don’t intend to purchase during this event.

 

  • If you do not to participate in this preorder event, you will be moved toward the front of the waitlist for the next Preorder event.

 

  • Delivery for this production run is expected to begin in April 2025

You will receive regular production updates from our team as your grinder makes its way through the manufacturing process. These updates can include:

  • Overviews of each phase of our production cycle.

 

  • Deep dives into the components of the Z1 and what sets it apart.

 

  • New innovations that may be integrated into your Z1.

 

  • Opportunities to place add-on orders for burr sets, augers or new product releases.

 

  • Opportunities to make changes or updates to your order.

Due to popular demand, the Matching Funnel Cap is also available to complete the look for your grinder. By default the grinder does not include a funnel cap.

Burr Variations and Essential Accessories

Zerno Z1 not only accommodates a wide range of standard 64mm burrs and also features a selection of blind burr options. All Z1 coffee grinders allow you to switch between each burr type. Blind burrs have no mounting holes on the face. Zerno blind burrs are magnetically mounted and have additional side screws to ensure alignment and stability during use.

Power Cord

Each Zerno Z1 includes a user-replaceable, color-matched power cord and is offered in multiple plug types to accommodate international customers.

Prebreaker

Zerno Z1 ships with a new adjustable feed rate prebreaker. In the future, additional augers will be available in the Zerno store and each will be compatible with your existing product.
